Wesels Night - The True Test in Faith :: Elie Wesel

All around the world people lose their faith in God for many different reason, either they or a love one has been diagnose with and deadly disease or an unexpected death occur in there family, they need somebody to blame, so most of them God. In Elie Wisel novel "Night" Elie explain how his faith in God was tested throughout the book, as he was force to leave his home, separated from his family, observe how many was being killed all around him, and witness children being thrown into huge ditches of fire, alive! Elie felt abandon, betrayed, and deceive, the God that he knew was an loving and giving God, it was then he started to doubt his existence. The unexplainable events that occur forever change Elie feelings for God. As Elie try hardly to hold on to his faith, his life was flashing right before his eyes, leaving his home to live in the ghetto, then as his and other lives was getting back normal they was then force out the ghetto, to either be put to death or live in an Concentration Camps, “Not far from us, flames huge flames, were rising from a ditch. Something was being burned there. A Truck drew close and unloaded its hold: small children. Babies! Yes, I did see this, with my own eyes… children thrown into flames. (Is it any wonder that ever since then, sleep tends to elude me?)" Everything around Elie was happen very fast, he couldn't believe it, on how a benevolent God could be part of such depravity, "Why did I pray?... Why did I live? Why did I breathe?" Elie prayed because he believe, he live and breathe to worship thee Almighty. The holocaust forces Elie to ask horrible question, question that doubted God’s ability. It became clear to Elie that God di dn’t have any intention to help, so why should Elie Pray before God, “How could I say to him: Blessed be Thou Almighty, Master of the Universe, who chose us among all nations to be tortured day and night, to watch as our fathers, our mothers, our Brothers end up in the furnaces?

Ligament Injuries Essay -- Health Injured Ligaments Essays

Ligament Injuries The volleyball match has been going on for over an hour. Both teams have been trading points and side-outs. The ball is set high outside so that the big outside hitter can put the ball away. She comes in hard, plants, leaps into the air and smashes the ball down the line in a twisting motion. As she lands on her right leg, a POP is heard and down she goes. What has just happened is occurring more and more often in athletics, the athlete has just torn the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). In this paper I will describe ACL, how it is injured and diagnosed, how it be repaired and what is being done to prevent ACL injuries. The Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) is one of the two cruciate ligaments of the knee, the other being the Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL). These ligaments are the stabilizers of the knee. The ACL is a strip of fibery tissue, which is located deep inside the knee joint. It runs from the posterior side of the femur (thigh bone) to the anterior side of the tibia (shin bone) deep inside of the knee. The ligament is a broad, thick cord the size of a person's index finger. It has long collagen strands woven together in a fashion that permits forces of up to 500 pounds to be exerted. The function of the ACL is to prevent the tibia from moving in front of the knee and femur. The ACL also prevents hyperextension (or extreme stretching of the knee backward) and helps to prevent rotation of the tibia. The amount of knee ligament injuries have been on the rise in recent years. Over the last 15 years, ankle sprains have decreased by 86% and tibia fractures by 88%, but knee ligament injuries have increased by 172%. The injury usually occurs in either a slow twisting fall, a sudden hyperextension, or a sudden hyperflexion as when landing from jumping. When the injury occurs the athlete usually hears a "pop" and they will have immediate swelling of the knee. When the person tries to put weight on the leg it will feel like the knee isn't underneath the athlete. With most injuries the type of movement will help to determine the injury: "I twisted to the right." etc. When ACL injuries occur there is a "popping" sound at the time of injury and swelling within six hours. An experienced clinician can diagnose an ACL tear with relative accuracy by a manual examination. X-ray examination and ... ...t of stress. A knee bend resistive exercise program done by The United States Ski Team has resulted in an 80% decline in serious knee injuries. The program uses a single stance one-third knee bend going from 30 to 80 degrees at a steady rate for three minutes, working up to five minutes on each leg. Sport band (elastic cord) can be used to increase resistance when initial levels are achieved. The anterior cruciate ligament is the main guide to knee stabilization. Fortunately injuries to the ACL are now much more treatable and athletes are returning to performance at a greater rate. All athletes need to be aware of the risk of ACL injuries but they also need to know if it does happen, it's not the end of their athletic career. Gap Years: Are They Worth The Risk? Essay

Every year, students fresh out of high school re locate to a new temporary home for college, ready to start the next chapter of life. While eager to do so, many students do not have a clue to what they want to pursue or pick majors that they are unsure of. A recent study released by ACT, College Choice Report Part 1: Preferences and Prospects, stated that nearly 80% of high school students taking the ACT selected a major they intended to select in college. However, 64% of those students choose a major that did not fit with their academic strengths and interests. This could have the possibility of increasing the number of students who change their majors which is never a bad thing, but time is money in the economy, and money is something that should not be wasted. Many students will not admit such a secret, but most are not ready to start college and are still slightly burned out from the work of high school. A solution to this problematic situation is an old trend, yet still commonly popular around the world, called a â€Å"Gap Year†. Taking time off may seem like a dangerous thought, but it is important to take time to dedicate yourself to finding out who you are, that’s why a gap year can help you save money in the long run, expand your knowledge of the world around you and even help your grades. One of the most difficult periods of life for a young adult, is college. Studying for classes, commuting, new expectations, and the list could go on for a long time, but one thing that tops it all is student debt. It is important to pick the right school and the right major, because if not, a lot of valuable time and money is wasted that could have gone into something that was a much better fit. This is where a â€Å"gap year† could be a helpful solution in the long run. It may not seem like a great idea at first and can even seem ludicrous that this idea could even save money, but if done correctly it can. The idea is that by taking a couple of months or a year off, the student should get a job, something that is new and can tech he or  she a new set of skills, volunteer for a charity or help around the community. â€Å"I’ve had parents tell me their child would probably have dropped out after first semester or year because they were so turned off by their classes in the academic experience, but a gap year helped them get excited and gave them a focus.† (Bull). Doing these activities can help one work through the process of finding their true calling and could possibly help them decide what major is right for them. Instead of diving head first off the highest cliff and into the cold, murky water below, the student has instead decided to take the scenic route and dip their feet into the clear water of the beaches. However, this can also be a bad idea for the irresponsible or lazy people who decide to take a year off. If instead of working they decide to slack off, they have wasted time and money that could be put towards their future and discovering more about the world and themselves. With so much around to explore, there is only a limited amount of time to do so while being young. While being young, our wallets are either empty from not working or full from working too much, and with school and curfews, these limits present a barricade to going far and exploring. College is a time to break these limits and explore, but there are still those barricades to a certain degree, which in life there will always be. But taking a gap year lessens the limits by extreme lengths, even promoting travelling and getting outside the usual comfort zone. By taking time off you learn a horizon of new things and get to explore uncharted areas of life that can be helpful to know for the future. Colleges, like Princeton and the University of North Carolina, are even supportive of this trend and even offer scholarships to scholars who decide to embark on such a journey (Hoder). There are a range of programs that offer to help youth during this time, and these organizations like the American Gap Association and USA Gap Fairs, are expanding very quickly to help young adults travel or with advice on how to tackle their own gap year. One issue with this however, is that there needs to be research and a plan before anything. Many students wait last minute and eagerly just don’t sign up for classes. They then realize that they have no clue what they want to do or that they may have chosen the wrong activity. Choosing the wrong program is similar to choosing the wrong major,  and while it may not be that expensive, it is still money going down the drain. That is why it is a good idea to brainstorm in advance what programs and places to travel may be a better fit and could possibly benefit the student’s future. Grades in high school are very important, but if there is one thing that makes that statement look like a soft teddy bear, it is grades in college, the flaming pits of hell. College is the key to anyone’s future and can make it or break it in certain cases. If pursuing a degree or major that the student is not interested in, there is a higher chance of that student letting their grade slip into turmoil. Robert Clagett, a senior admissions officer from Harvard has found that students who have taken a gap year, before rushing into college life, have GPAs that, on a 4.0 scale, are 0.15 to 0.2 higher than otherwise would be expected. In Randye Hoder’s article, â€Å"Why Your High School Senior Should Take a Gap Year†, she interviews A young woman, Corrine Monaco, who had gone to an academically rigorous school in New York, and by her second semester of her senior year, she was burned out from the hard work. She knew she couldn’t go diving back into school. She decided to then spend a few months traveling across the country. When she finally got to college, she was genuinely excited to be back in the classroom again. â€Å"Taking a gap year was the best decision I ever made.† Monaco said about her experience. It is common sense that someone who is overly worked will, overtime, begin to fatigue, which will show in their work academically or professionally. However, taking time off should be used to focus on the future or beneficial activities, and the main goal should be to return to school. If sight of that is lost, then a gap year could have been for nothing if wasted and nothing was learned. But not going to school doesn’t mean a gap year was also a waste. Some people could cross paths with a great opportunity that would not present itself again if they decided to stay on track and go to school. That is what a gap year is all about, finding ones path outside of the pressure from the world. A gap year can be the greatest experience or a complete waste of time, depending on how one looks at it. A negative stigma follows the trend, with many believing that once you take time off, you will not want to return.  Many people will deny this, but deep down, does anyone? When we take time off and spend it relaxing and exploring life, why would anyone want to return to the monotonous routine of school and work. But a gap year is supposed to solve that and help you find, not a job or something to make money, but a passion or a career that you want to do, not need to do. With society’s strong emphasis on money, which is a necessity of life in our time and era, many students zoom through their youth with their nose to the grindstone, missing out on life and lessons that may only present themselves once. It may not be for everyone, but a gap year is definitely something to consider if one is unsure of life and what direction they would like to take and can be very helpful if done right and with a positive outlook the journey and life itself. Tackling Health Inequalities Teenage Pregnancy Health And Social Care Essay

Socio-economic inequalities in wellness have moved up the policy docket and instead than one attack in undertaking adolescent gestation. These attacks can be understood by guaranting an betterment to the wellness of the poorest of the hapless 1s, through contracting the spreads between those in the hapless society and the rich 1s that are to make good, to turn toing the association between socio-economic place and wellness across the population ( Graham, 2004 ) . Public wellness policy in older industrial states is in a procedure of alteration. A narrow concern with advancing population wellness is giving manner to a broader vision of the ends of policy. The broader vision combines a focal point on wellness addition with a committedness to cut downing inequalities in its societal distribution. This committedness is the basis of the United Kingdom new public wellness policies because England ‘s new scheme seeks ‘an betterment to the wellness of the lowest category in society and besides narrow the spread. ‘Tackling wellness inequalities ‘ is a nucleus driver of policy ( Secretary of State, 1999 ) . Development in the UK is in measure with that elsewhere in Europe. Here, the ends of public wellness policy have been redefined to give greater accent ( Gadikou E. E, Murray C. J and Frenk J, 2000 ; Chang W. C, 2002 ) to undertaking systematic differences in the wellness of advantaged and disadvantaged of us that are sick, and some of us that are non. In so many surveies about undertaking wellness inequalities ( Braveman A, Krieger N and Lynch J, 2000 ; Marmot M, 2001 ) , it has been said that wellness inequalities are more widely understood to mention, non to fluctuations between persons, but no differences between societal groups. In most states, including the UK, wellness inequalities are shorthand for socio-economic inequalities in wellness, whether measured at the person or are flat. Health inequalities which relate to other constructions of inequality like gender or ethnicity are typically labeled in these footings as gender inequalities in wellness, cultural inequalities in wellness etc. to undertake wellness inequalities is hence to undertake unfairness ( Milburn A, 2001 ) . To undertake wellness inequalities in teenage gestation, so good wellness is the manner frontward to every person and non merely a peculiar group or set of people. Decreasing wellness disadvantages, contracting wellness spreads and diminishing wellness gradients can be used to undertake wellness inequalities ( Graham, 2004 ) Undertaking Health Inequalities: There has been a really big sum of research on the causes of wellness inequalities in the universe but less grounds on how to cut down, tackle or convey it to a halt. The major purpose of undertaking wellness inequalities is to construct a more equal distribution of wellness between the societal groups so that every single gets to benefits. Health inequalities were known in the UK after the Black Report was published. The Black Report showed that there had been an betterment in wellness across societal categories with the aid of National Health Scheme ( NHS ) . It is clear that the simplest manner to undertake wellness inequalities is to better on the societal determiners of wellness in which the World Health Organization ( WHO ) defined the societal determiners of wellness as ‘the status in which people are born, turn, adapt, work and age including the wellness system. The figure below shows a sum-up of these conditions as proposed by Dahlgren and Whitehead ( 1991 ) . Figure 1 Dahlgren G. and Whitehead M. ( 1991 ) In UK in the twelvemonth 1980 when the Black Report was foremost produced on the issues of wellness inequalities. Sir Michael Marmot who is an epidemiologist at University College London, published an article on the relationship between wellness and poorness on the Fair Society, Healthy Lives. He described his article Fair Society as a societal gradient in wellness. Michael Marmot said that the causes of wellness inequalities includes life styles such as smoking which remains more common, drug maltreatment, fleshiness, is increasing fastest, adolescent gestation, amongst the hapless in England on the survey The Economist. Tackling wellness inequalities is described as a committedness ‘to break the nexus between poorness and sick wellness ‘ and ‘also improve the wellness of the lowest category ‘ ( Millburn A, 2001 ) . Reducing Health Disadvantages: At one terminal of the continuum, wellness inequality describes the hapless wellness of hapless groups and communities. Hansard ( 1998 ) said wellness inequality is the nexus between poorness and sick wellness. In this position, wellness inequality is a construct which captures the wellness effects of poorness. Health inequalities are the wellness disadvantages which result from societal disadvantage. It is an apprehension of wellness inequalities which is in line with the authorities ‘s committedness end ‘to make wellness better to the hapless ‘ . It is an of import policy end in which hapless groups and hapless communities endures rates of morbidity and mortality which the remainder of the population has left behind ( Townsend and Davidson, 1982 ; ONS, 2001 ) . There is a powerful moral statement for undertaking these absolute wellness disadvantages. It is an statement which asserts that wellness is a basic demand which no 1 should be unnecessarily denied. It is ‘a really simple freedom, the ability to last instead than yield to premature mortality ‘ . It is a moral place which puts the wellness of the ( planetary ) hapless at the top of the policy docket. World Health Organisation ( WHO, 1999 ) reported that ‘first and first, there is a demand to cut down greatly the load of extra mortality and morbidity suffered by the hapless ‘ . In a state every bit rich as the UK, there are few who would non see the hapless wellness of hapless communities as compromising the simple freedom to last. Average criterions of wellness achieved two decennaries ago should be accomplishable by the poorest now. Specifying wellness inequalities as wellness disadvantages aligns public wellness policy with other elements of the authorities ‘s public assistance programme. It provides a span between the public wellness and societal exclusion docket, maneuvering both towards intercessions targeted at groups vulnerable to societal disadvantage. However, while offering policy advantages, specifying wellness inequalities as wellness a disadvantage is non without its jobs. It turns socio-economic inequality from a construction which impacts on all to a status to which merely those at the underside are exposed. It is the lowest socio-economic groups and the poorest communities who are ‘suffer the result ‘ , ‘health inequalities which is the life style of the people and from low income, hapless instruction, bad lodging, poorness, pollution, low educational criterions, and joblessness ‘ ( DoH, 1998 ) . First, undertaking wellness inequality is non a population broad scheme but it is one confined to sub-groups which make up a comparatively little proportion of the population. Second, undertaking wellness inequality does non widen to conveying degrees of wellness in the poorest groups closer to the national norm. In a society where overall rates of wellness are bettering, absolute betterments in their wellness possibly sufficient to contract the spread between the worst and better away. As a consequence, better wellness among the poorest group has been associated with a widening spread in life anticipation between the underside and the top. Narrowing Health Gaps: At the mid-point on the continuum is a place which focuses non merely on the hapless wellness of hapless groups but besides on their wellness relation to other groups. Here, wellness inequalities are defined in footings of wellness spreads. The Chief Medical Officer ( CMO England, 2001 ) refers to wellness inequality in footings of ‘the spread in wellness between the best off and the worst off in the society ‘ . The marks for undertaking wellness inequalities, nevertheless, follow a different preparation of the wellness spread in footings of the wellness derived functions ( DoH, 2001 ) those in the poorest fortunes and the norm for the population. The wellness spread is a step of wellness inequality widely used in research to compare the wellness of those at the utmost terminals of the socio-economic hierarchy. This construct of wellness inequality is an of import driver for policy which draws attending to the fact that population norms mask broad differences in wellness between societal groups. The moral instance for turn toing wellness spreads is enshrined in the fundamental law of the World Health Organisation ( WHO ) . It suggests that, in any given society, those in the best wellness set a criterion which all should be able to bask. If this is so, it is those in the poorest groups who face the most profound denial of their cardinal human right. This has been an of import focal point of equity-oriented public wellness schemes and in England, wellness inequality marks are wellness spreads marks ( Botting, 2007 ) . Narrowing wellness spreads therefore represents a more ambitious end than rectifying wellness disadvantages. This measure/concept of wellness inequality is an of import driver for policy devising which magnets attending to the fact that the society norms mask broad differences in wellness between groups. As the national norm improves, contracting spreads requires particular attempts to guarantee that figures ( DoH, 2002 ) are non merely maintaining up, but shuting the inequality spread. Reducing wellness gradients~ To foster the continuum, wellness inequalities as an issue in the UK and other European states is non merely about the differences in wellness between the good, the bad and the ugly but alternatively, the relationship between socio-economic place and wellness in a systematic manner. Reduction in wellness gradients have endured across epidemiological periods, cogent evidence in the nineteenth century where infectious/communicable diseases were truly the major cause of decease but now, chronic or Cardio-Vascular disease ( CVD ) diseases has come to remain to take over. Health inequalities follow a societal gradient and to undertake this socio-economic gradient in wellness is truly a challenging policy ( DoH, 2002 ) . The moral instance for undertaking socio-economic gradients lies in the moral equality of people with regard to wellness and merely as World Health Organization fundamental law provinces, the highest come-at-able criterions of wellness ( WHO, 1948 ) should favor everybody regardless the coloring material, race, faith, belief, socio and economic conditions and this rule has long guided Public wellness in England. A socio-economic derived function has a focal point compared to societal disadvantages which widens the frame of wellness inequality policy in three ways: The research for what causes wellness inequality in the society in a systematic difference in life opportunities, the sort of life styles they live and living criterions with people ‘s unequal places in the socio-economic hierarchy Undertaking wellness inequalities becomes a population-wide end to bettering wellness which involves everybody. Reducing wellness gradients provides a comprehensive end to one that subsumes rectifying disadvantages and contracting wellness spreads within the broader end across socio-economic groups. Decrease in socio-economic gradient in teenage gestation, there should be an improve at a faster rate to wellness in other socio-economic groups and policies to rectify wellness disadvantages, shuting the wellness spreads and cut down wellness gradients need to be pursued in tandem. Decision The narrative of wellness inequality is clear because the poorer you are, the more likely you are to be sick and to decease younger. The recent rise in adolescent gestation rates calls for pressing action to cut down or halt the rise and besides originate a lessening in these rates. To efficaciously undertake teenage gestation, wellness inequalities related to teenage gestation demand to be tackled ; the root cause of these inequalities need to be tackled. Health inequalities affect everyone and are evitable ( Woodward & A ; kawachi, 2000 ) . Health inequalities are besides progressively been seen as an unfairness ( Graham, 2004 ) . In other words, good wellness is the right of every person and non merely for a peculiar group or groups of people. These constructs which can be used to undertake wellness inequalities can be complementary instead than reciprocally sole.

Advertising media industry Essay Example for Free

Advertising media industry Essay ? I am student in a work placement agency called STG Media Corporation, a company which dedicates their mission and vision in providing accountable advertising solutions. In my 7 week placement here in the corporation, I learned a lot and discovered that nothing beats on-hand experience in working. Week One (provide date) It was a week of anticipation, stress and learning. How does one person deal with work placement? The first day was dedicated with meeting the executive staff, the working staff, and introduction to what the company is. STG Media Corp. is an interesting work placement agency. I learned about the company through one of my friends and I thought that working for a media company will be so great; little did I know that it is a lot difficult. The first thing that came up in my mind when STG Media Corp. was mentioned is that it is just an advertising company. But it is different. The company details their service in the concept of accountable advertising, in which they refine print advertising media in context of the 21st century need. As a communication student, this was beginning to worry me. After the primary day of introduction, I get to know more about the company and the thought that it is not the conventional type of advertising agency made me overwhelmed with the job and the condition in the work place. This week, I was designated to the Print Media Research, print Media Planning and Market Analysis of one of the company’s client. The company of a branded sports drink is asking STG Media Corp. to help them with the advertising promotion in one of the new products they will launch in about 5 months time. The first thing I did was to interview the sports drink company representative about the nature of their company. I went to their office was so anxious to do the interview that I forgot to bring my recorder, which is considered as one of the great mistakes before doing an interview, coming unprepared. But the good thing is, I did the interview well. I was given the set questions of STG Media Corp., questions that are required to be asked to the client, and throughout the interview, I inserted some of the questions I thought myself to be able to get a good amount of fact for the company. As inexperienced as I am in working for the company, one of the greatest skill I learned is to communicate effectively and luckily I am able to do that with this interview. During the week, one of the great challenges I faced was inputting the vital information of the company’s client to their database called the Print Media Buying System. The PMBS which is the company’s own database generates detailed market research, analysis reports accounting for all aspects such as demographic information, buying trends and other print media recommendations. I really asked for help this time as since I was not acquainted with the kind of technology they used in the particular system. But later I got the hang of it and was commended for a job well done in collecting information from the client. Week 2 (provide date) Before the work placement began, I was told that I will be working full time in one of the company’s venture with a famous sports drink brand. I thought that would be easy since I don’t have to do all the other work, but the challenged I soon found out during the second week is that the process of STG Media Corp. as an advertising consultant is a process to which many steps are taken. This week I am part of the Creative Team designated by the company to help the sports drink brand. Although I must be clear that I was just a part of the team, doing menial job that the professionals are tasked to do. I learned one great thing about the print media industry, 75% of advertisement fail because of weak creative and non-compelling ad copy. It’s true that one of the strengths of a great brand is not just with its quality, but through rigorous and effective advertising that they create. Before working here, I thought that companies only advertise for the sake of advertising, but companies do take this strategy very seriously. On the third day of this week, I was asked to look at one print ad for five seconds during one of the meetings of the Creative Team. They asked me questions rigorously, whether it be based on the appearance or the content. I answered them frankly and mention the things that I would personally think about the ad if I was just a normal consumer looking at the advertisement. Several times, the Team will press and argue their points with me, but all was attributed to presenting a better advertisement for the client. During this week, as unprofessional to assume the role of being a advertiser consultant, I was placed in the position of the consumer, the Team’s viewpoint on the things they realize about the brand and how they can effectively approach working for the client. I really felt like my ideas were respected and included to the Creative Team’s analysis of the product. This week, I also was comfortable with the workplace. I am familiar with the different employees and get to have small talks with them through several breaks. Its interesting how some of them had assumed I am part of the Creative Team when in fact; I am just a student on work placement. Advertising media industry. (2017, May 26).

Library extension Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Library extension - Essay Example The roof beams are supported by the exterior main columns and are placed as a rafter. A truss is not included since a roof beam can carry the roof loads and also for the reason of abiding by the design intent of having a "high ceiling" and unobstructed natural light from the glazed section of the roof. The foundation is composed of isolated footings and retaining walls for the basement part. The longest span involved is 13 meters which is located at the faade of the building. Since the requirement is for the faade to be entirely composed of glass, two columns are supporting two roof beams propped against each other. The load transfer is synonymous to that of an arch frame. The two columns are supported by a main beam at ground level and beams that connect it to the next span. In the event that a huge lateral load or a very heavy roof load is applied way beyond the structure can support, these columns likely would be the first components to fail. No attachments are made to the existing museum and library, thus the new extension is structurally independent from them. Spans of 4.5 meters and 9 meters are designed for the beams wherein intermediate beams are provided for beams supporting a span of 9 meters. This would yield smaller members in the subsequent analysis and design. Tie beams are also found in the foundation and ground floor framing to support lateral movements. Further, aside from beam-to-column connections, there are beam-to-beam connections as well, and a planted column supporting the stairs. 3. Accommodation of Services Building services are accommodated and are given 0.8 meters. For services located in the basement, ground floor, and first floor; there is enough space for the conveyance of building utilities and at the same time, their pipe runs can be concealed. However, cladding must be made at the 1st floor overhead utilities (e.g. lighting), since there is no ceiling at the 1st floor. C. Scheme 2: 1. Functional Framing Scheme 2 is designed to have the least number of structural members as possible. The advantage to this approach is less members and longer spans that would give to larger uninterrupted spaces. However, members would have to be bigger or deeper to support longer spans. The framing for the basement remains the same as in the previous scheme. The framing support for the ground floor is remarkably decreased. This is for the reason that tie beams have been eliminated considering that the ground floor slab would be slab-on-fill. A wall footing tie beam is designated as support for the admin office wall. For the first floor framing, only one intermediate beam is designated for the slab at the adult's reading area. The span of 9-meters on the side of the cavity wall side is supported by two columns only. The roof framing is the same as in scheme 1. 2. Load Transfer and Stability Aspects As in scheme 1, the area of concern is on the supports at the faade since no column is located on the center of the faade that would possibly support a
